Promote yourself

We had the chance to check out a new and upcoming site called MyEventHub – Promote yourself!. It allows users to create a profile and then create an event where they can sell tickets to events like a fashion, music, or sports event. Imagine being a band where you are trying to promote your show taking place in a few weeks and want to pre-sell tickets in order to show the venue that you will bring the audience. This brings a new element allowing you to collect money and track who will be coming. The e-tickets look very professional and you can put various information on the ticket itself. Sites like this are just another avenue in which up and coming artists and promoters can use various social media tools in order to cost effectively promote themselves and handle all the aspects of their programs. As this site grows I would imagine that they will integrate it with Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace in order to create a more robust network so that as you promote yourself or event you can easily send updates and invites to your social networks.
