The latest oil finds in North Dakota has created a mad rush to the area and created thousands of jobs. The Bakken Oil Shale has presented a huge opportunity and a new way to find and drill for oil.It was originally estimated that this new oil find would produce about 151 million barrels of oil. Thanks to new technology and a process known as a horizontal drilling has now pushed that estimate to over 3.6 billion gallons. There are currently over 4,000 active oil wells currently in service. This has lead to a need in various construction and chemical mixing tools to meet the growing need in helping getting this oil out of the ground and to the market. With the the largest continuous oil field in North America this presents a great opportunity for the state and the nation in order to reduce our dependence on foreign oil.

We have been using a digital camera for several years and the technology has come so far that even the novice photographer can create some beautiful shots. Digital photography is great in that you can take extra shots of a subject to get the right one and then view it on your PC before having to print out your original. We recommend getting as close to your subject as possible without relying on the zoom. This will reduce any blurry images, and use a higher shutter speed, as the slower ones will create blurry picture if your are not completely still. The best advice is take pictures at random without all the setup as you will find the improtu pics will usually be the best.

Global Warming is certainly making a name for it self these days. I guess the politically correct way to say it is “Climate Change”; no matter how you say it or what you think of it; it’s impact is being felt around the world. We are seeing parts of the world being flooded by heavy rains; while other parts of the world continue to deal with severe drought conditions.
